What do you think the family are doing?

They are choosing the costume, maybe there is a party, or maybe they are preparing for Halloween.
他們在選服裝，也許要參加聚會，也許是在為萬聖節做準備。
What sort of things are they getting out of basket?
他們從箱子裡都選了什麼？
Mom is checking a pink dress, Dad is holding a black top hat.
媽媽在看一件粉色裙子，爸爸拿著一頂黑色高帽。
這裡可以讓娃猜一猜，他們都想扮成什麼，然後去正文裡看看，最後他們分別扮成了什麼。
第一頁，
Mum was a scarecrow
。 媽媽是一個稻草人。
Look at Mum, her clothes are full of patches.
快看媽媽，她的衣服上都是補丁。
Dad and Kipper are putting straws in Mum's clothes.
爸爸和kipper正在往媽媽的衣服裡塞稻草。
Biff is holding a red cone. What is that? Yes, that is Mum's nose.
Biff拿了個紅色的圓錐體，那是什麼？對，那是媽媽的鼻子。
第二頁，
Biff was a pirate. Chip was a pirate.
Biff是個海盜，Chip是個海盜。
Why do you think Biff and Chip both dress up as pirate? Because they are twins.
為什麼Biff和Chip都要裝扮成海盜呢？可能是因為他們是雙胞胎。
Although they are both pirates, they look different.
雖然都是海盜，但看起來不太一樣。
Biff has a scary hat with skeleton on it, a spotted scarf, a really good boots and a sword.
Biff有一個骷髏帽子，點點的圍巾，一雙特別好的靴子，還有一把劍。
How about Chip?
那Chip呢？
Chip has no shoes, an eye patch, a golden earring and a hook. He looks more fierce.
Chip沒有鞋，一個眼罩，一個金色大耳環，還有一個鉤子。他看起來更兇狠。
第三頁，
Kipper was an angel.
Kipper是一個天使。
Look at Kipper, he wears all white with a pair of wings, and also a golden ring over his head.
看Kipper啊，他穿著一身白色，有一對翅膀，頭頂還有個金色環。
He shuts the eyes and looks really peaceful.
他閉著眼睛，看起來十分平靜安詳。
第四頁，
Dad was a chicken.
爸爸裝扮成一隻只雞！
What do the others do when they see Dad?
其他人看見爸爸的時候什麼反應？
They are all laughing. Mum laughs so happy that her nose falls down.
他們都在笑，媽媽笑的太開心了，鼻子都掉了。
Look at Dad's red claws, big tail, white feather, it is really funny, right?
看爸爸紅色的雞爪子，大尾巴還有白色的羽毛，真的很逗，對麼？
How do you think Dad feels when he is dressed as a chicken?

Maybe a little embarassed, a little unhappy.
也許有點尷尬，有點不開心。

Everyone is happy.
大家都很開心。
It really is a dress-up party.
真的是個變裝聚會。
Wilma is a witch, Wilf is a king, Nadim is a robot.
Wilma是個女巫，Wilf是個國王，Nadim是個機器人。
Look at Kipper, he is really into his role.
看Kipper，他真的很沉浸在自己的角色。
